Ok, so its been a little quiet in the paranormal world the past couple of weeks. The usual 'woo' claims keep coming. The 'newest' psychic becomes the next big thing and of course, the homeopathy battle rages on.
But probably the most interesting thing this week is 'Badboy of the psychic world' Ian Lawman's latest stunt. 'Buried Alive'
Ian Lawman is to be buried alive for seven days. This is to take place 1st April - 8th April 2011 at Dudley Castle. He is to be buried in a coffin, which will b... Continue reading ...
Kelvedon Hatch: The Return
Posted by Atticus on Monday, March 14, 2011,
In our current run of what seems like revisits, next on the list is Kelvedon Hatch.
RiPA have toured the length and breadth of Britain hitting known, and not so known, bunkers. Out of all visited so far it seems Kelvedon Hatch tops the RiPA List.
Why is this?
Is it due to the constant reports of haunting phenomena?
Is it because many paranormal groups that visit always come away with *tangible* evidence?
Well actually its neither. Its just a jolly nice place complete with chickens.
Ok so the Kelvedo... Continue reading ...
Bolebroke - Redux
Posted by Atticus on Monday, February 21, 2011,
Gee, What a busy time for RiPA. We have just finished the first part in an ongoing study with Milton Keynes Discovery Center and before we know it there is another study on its way!
This is at Bolebroke Castle. Thats right, we are returning to Henry VIII's hunting lodge which was also the location where parts of the movie 'The Other Boleyn Girl' was filmed.
RiPA's last visit to Bolebroke sparked some interesting results. It is the only place in RiPA's history where some things had happened that ... Continue reading ...

Gee, this update is a bit overdue I know but we have been sooo busy here at RiPA HQ.
But before I get into recent happening within the RiPA realm, let me just recap on the HOUDINI - A'Live Seance event. The stage and setting was perfect. pictures of the night can be found here on our Facebook page.
The night was an intimate occasion and worked really well. I just want to give a huge shout of thanks to all that attended and especially the audience members that were brave enough to sit at the tabl... Continue reading ...
2010 - Start of a new year for RiPA
Posted by Atticus on Wednesday, January 6, 2010,
Well well well, here we are in 2010 and how we have all changed..... or not! There has been a few changes within the RiPA world though in order to make the whole RiPA ship flowing smoother than ever.
So whats on the cards for RiPA at the start of this year? First off, we're off to London to join Prof Chris French on a talk about the 'Psychology of Anomalous Experiences'.
This talk will provide an introduction to the sub-discipline of anomalistic psychology, which may be defined as the study of e... Continue reading ...
Most Haunted Live - Eight Faces of Evil
Posted by Atticus on Sunday, October 25, 2009,
So its halloween again and of course, by the laws of inevitability, The MH crew raises its ugly head to try to fool, I mean, bring to the public paranormal phenomena.
Let me take this oppotunity to express the point that RiPA aint exactly 'Anti-Most Haunted' just more critical of them as being a real life research team, RiPA have experienced the knock on effects that shows like Most Haunted have caused.
From astronomical hire prices of locations because Yvette and Karl have been there to lots ... Continue reading ...
UFO's Go Posh!!
Posted by RiPA Rep on Thursday, July 30, 2009,
Thats right. it seems that our space dwelling cousins have tired of visting the remote farm places and trailer park in the good old US of A and have decided to up their standards..... well, according to the taker of this picture anyhow.
The picture of the flying shape was clicked hovering over the house at Hatfield, or Hatfield House even, near Welwyn Garden City.
It was Chris Middleton, of Welwyn, who snapped the mystery object during a a visit to the Jacobean house and garden, the home of t... Continue reading ...
Anyone For Ganzfeld?
Posted by RiPA Rep on Thursday, July 9, 2009,
Session 2 of RiPA's Ganzfeld experiments has been and gone. This time around the RiPA's that took part done reasonably well as the 'reciever' selected the correct picture even though most of the associations were incorrect.
Those of you who dont know, RiPA is much more than just 'Ghost Investigations'. RiPA is currently undertaking a project in collaboration with Smiths University of London into the tried and tested Ganzfeld experiments.
The premise is that a subject lies down in a selected ... Continue reading ...
Latest 'ghost' photo doing the rounds.
Posted by RiPA Rep on Sunday, June 21, 2009,
Back in March there was an event in Edinburgh to speak about paranormal phenomena and the subject of photos took the stage. One photo in particular seemed to cause a stir.
This was taken at Tantallion Castle in East Lothian in Scotland. An eerie image of a figure at a Scottish castle has got ghost experts spooked as it seemed to have caused the biggest ever investigation into photographic evidence of ghosts.
The picture, taken in May last year, appears to show a spectral figure in fifteenth c... Continue reading ...
Post Investigation
Posted by RiPA Rep on Monday, June 8, 2009,
Ok folks, the investigation into the bunker is done and what a place it is!
3 floors filled with rabbit warren type passageways, endless side rooms and all contained more than 70ft underground.
Very nice place to visit for whatever reason as you wont be dissapointed. And anyone interested in amateur radio will have a 'blast'!
So, for a bit of history and an in-depth insight as to what could happen and what had happened in the run up to a nuclear threat, pay this place a vist.
Did the RiPA's... Continue reading ...

Is It Summer Yet?
Posted by RiPA Rep on Sunday, May 31, 2009,
What does it matter anyway? Lets just enjoy it while its here. However, could the summer weather increase solar flares therefore increasing the phenomenon of haunting effects?
I feel it might be worth the UK teams out there to keep an eye out for such influctuations and see if there is a pattern being caused.
So has anything exciting come to the RiPA desk this week? In short. the answer is no.
RiPA are still looking for future RiPA's to join the ranks, so if you are within reasonable dista... Continue reading ...
