More on
what we do

Ok so you have got in contact with RiPA and they will be visiting you real soon. What to expect? Are they going to run around and give you an exciting real-life version of Most Haunted? Are you going to relive the fears that you once had when you were camping in the backgarden with your friends telling each other ghost stories?

The truthful answer to that is probably not!
Real life Paranormal Research can be a very dull and labourous task. This is due to most cases of hauntings being a spontaneous event. Therefore, you cannot always expect a suspected haunting to happen while the location is undergoing an investigation. Naturally, there are always exceptions to this case as in a constant haunting.

After  RiPA arrives, a researcher will speak to the person who initially made contact (if available) and give them a quick run down of the night to come.
While that is happening, several other researchers will be surveying the property for structral defects. Loose wiring, creaky floorboards, draughty windows etc. If RiPA do notice anything that could cause a paranormal effect then the said person will be informed.
RiPA take special consideration in investigating the location structre as many cases of reported activity are no more than a building defect.

RiPA take on any case, from your average house right through to government run buildings. We aim not just to investigate for our own research studies but also to educate and hopefully, provide a greater insight into the workings of paranormal events.

All in all, RiPA hopes to help the scientific research community in explaining and maybe one day, demistefying the paranormal.
