Bloody Mary

Right so we've all heard of the Bloody Mary legend, but do you really know anything about it ???
Let me tell you a bit about one of the most well known urban legends in the world.
This urban legend started as a game in which a vengeful ghost, called Bloody Mary would appear in a mirror when summoned. Variations of the legend are known all over the world, However the method is always the same. The person wanting to call on the ghost is to stand in front of a mirror, in a darkened room, normally a bathroom, and chant the words Bloody Mary three times. The vision of a woman will appear in the mirror, and depending on where you are from, will exact revenge on whoever has dared to call her.
These acts of revenge vary from ripping the callers face off, scratching their eyes out, driving the person insane or bringing the person into the mirror with her. The methods in which she is summoned vary as well including chanting a hundred times, chanting at midnight, spinning around, rubbing your eyes, running the water, or chanting her name thirteen times with a lit candle.
So where does all this come from ? What spawned the legend ?
Some folklore says that the story originated in Britain. Bloody Mary was Mary Tudor, Queen of England, and daughter of King Henry the 8th and Catherine of Aragon. All her life, she was a mean brat to her little sister, Elizabeth and her brother Edward VI. She did not like them at all and was very jealous. When Edward VI died, she became Queen Mary of England. She was hated all over for changing the religion in England from Protestant to Roman Catholic. She mass-murdered over 100 Protestant leaders, earning her name as "Bloody Mary".
Another version of the origin started in Pennsylvania. According to the legend, this woman whom villagers called Bloody Mary dispersed herbal remedies out of her home. She was a self-proclaimed witch and no one dared to get in her way. One day, little girls of the village began disappearing and blame was assigned to Bloody Mary. Although Mary denied the allegations, villagers claimed that she appeared younger which made them even more suspicious.
One night the miller's daughter walked silently out of her bed, following a sound that no one else could hear. Her mother and father tried to pull her back but the girl got away from them. Other villagers heard he commotion and came to assistance of the mother and father. One of them noticed a light in the woods and there stood Bloody Mary. She was holding a wand that was pointed at the miller's home. The villagers marched against her with pitchforks and guns. Bloody Mary fled but was eventually caught and burned. As she burned, she spoke a curse against the village. If anyone ever stood in front of a mirror and spoke her name, she said, she would come and take revenge upon that person and they would suffer an awful death by tearing up their body and making their soul forever reside within the mirror.
People play this game as a test of courage, and its extremely popular with teenagers at slumber parties. Many a Hollywood film has been based on the legend or included in their scripts and I'm sure that Bloody Mary has been uttered by brave teenagers world wide. What I want to know is, Are you brave enough to utter the menacing words that call the vengeful spirit ?
